Hello, I recently bought Bush Freesat HD BOX and installation went smooth but picture keeps cutting on every HD channel. If its not cutting (going blank after a minute of HD channel running), then voice goes(mute).
When the picture goes blank, then remote of the box also stops working and i need to restart the box or wait for picture to come up, i does come back sometime after a minute but again goes blank. All the other Channels (Non-HD) seems to be working fine most of the time. Even they go off sometime (one in a day).

I actually bought this Box just to watch HD channels but if i 'll keep getting this problem, their is no point keeping this. Signal strength is 100% as per Box and software version is 2.0.2 Did anyone had a same problem?
Can someone please suggest if its a HD Box problem or Dish or something? I have tried different HDMI cables, tried on both the HDMI ports on my TV (Samsung 32' HD Ready) but no improvement.
Bush freeview hd tv software updates. Bush freesat firmware update. Looking at an older 70`s corvette, originally manual and converted to automatic. How much work would it take to get it back to manual? What website do i download software updates for my bush 50 tv model 50 211f i know howto do it just need to know the website to get the.
Thanks in advance Jay. Did you buy it new? What is the model number of the Box itself? Did you buy it from Argos or 'elsewhere' ( eg.
Some of the earlier models have know faults. I think that page is specifically to address a problem with the unusual settings that Channel 4 HD needs and which early boxes could not cope with. This problem sounds like it has something to do with the box electronics. It may well have something to do with the power supply as HD will use more to process the extra information compared to SD and that also seems to go after prolonged use. Overheating capacitor???
If purchased from Argos (whose own brand name Bush is), return it for a full refund as a faulty box and buy a decent one. There are a couple of other budget boxes on the market at similar prices that do not have the history of poor quality that these Harvard based ones have (also avoid View21 boxes as they are another of Harvard's brands)/. Not sure what the software version is now for those boxes, but you could try and see if there is a firmware update. If that doesn't fix it then get the box swapped or money refunded. We had a Bush box a couple of years ago from Argos that would keep glitching with picture and sound on the HD channels. Turned out it was a hardware fault of some sort so we had the box changed and the problem disappeared. I actually bought it from Ebay and no doubt its New but looks likes it was bought long time ago but never got used.
The problem i am getting is same as you suggested glitching with picture and sound. I actually bought it from Ebay and no doubt its New but looks likes it was bought long time ago but never got used. The problem i am getting is same as you suggested glitching with picture and sound. Yeah, then it's hardware related I'm afraid. There was a dodgy batch that came out a few years ago and a lot of people had problems with them. If you put it into 576i output mode even on HDMI it should work no problems, but that's not going to get you an HD picture. You're only option is to get a refund or stick with it as an SD only box.

I have tried different HDMI cables, tried on both the HDMI ports on my TV (Samsung 32' HD Ready) but no improvement. Thanks in advance Jay me and my cousin both had same problem and return box to retailer (argos) and got money back waited a few month and bought a humax never let me down MY advice is send back for a refund a buy a humax or something different dont buy a goodmans either there are the same type boxes as bush read this thread from a while back. The Sale of Goods Act is for 6 years. More importantly for the first 6 months you don't have to prove it's faulty the relailer has to prove it's not. Take it back and get a refund, not a replacement.
That way you can buy another and start your Sale of Goods Act from the beginning again. The Sale of Goods Acts do not apply to private sales through Ebay. The OP has already stated that he has opened a dispute under their terms and conditions.
To give them (rare) credit, Harvard did exchange the faulty boxes for ones that worked. However it is unclear if the offer is still open. If not, a buyer who purchased from Argos, in the case of the Bush brand or other retailers for the brands (then) owned by Harvard would have to take action against them. The SoGA applies to the contract between the retailer and the original purchaser unless (as is only implicit in the case of gifts) they have transfered their rights to a third party. The inlaws receiver is a BU11FSRHD32.
Maybe their cable or dish or lnb is crap. Although they had a SkyHD box before getting the bush and it never did these drop outs. Before i bought this box, i never knew anything about these Freesat boxes. But thanks to Bush and problem i am facing with this box, i can now suggest some testing with Freesat boxes As you suggested, your HD Box does the same.
Best way to test this is try using SCART cable instead of HDMI and then go to HD Channel (ex: 108 for BBC HD). If using SCART cable, HD channel works without any problem (using SCART cable, your HD channel will appear as normal SD channel), then you can confirm that its the Box. As you are suspicious of LNB,Cable or dish.
Does your SD Channels break? If they work fine, the you can leave Cable and Dish out.
(Dont know much about LNB but suppose it should be ok).
